Our 1 year anniversary is in July and I'd like to go away somewhere. We went to Jamaica on our honeymoon and we thinking about going back there, but it is a little more than we want to spend.

We also are discussing Vegas since the wife has expressed interest in the shows there and also visiting some "high end" strip clubs.

I was also thinking Montreal. We went there about 5 years ago and it was cool, and I wouldn't mind going back.

I am thinking maybe 5 nights and under $2000 for flight and hotel. We live in the northeast and would probably fly out of Laguardia, Bradley (in Hartford, CT), or Whiteplains (NY).

Any thoughts?

We just booked an all inclusive, best room, 7 nights to Punta Cana for $3200, flights included.
You could definitely get an all-inclusive, lower room, 5 nights, for $2000.

Airfare and resort prices have dropped a bunch in the last few months.

My wife and I went to Maui for our honeymoon and we're going to go to the ABC islands for our 1 year anniversary in september. (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao)

Aruba was our first trip out of hte country and we loved the place, so we're going back there and stopping by the 2 neighboring islands as well.

Where in Aruba do you suggest staying?

Maui is def too much and too far (long flight from the east coast)

we stayed at the Amsterdam Manor which was really nice. it's low key on the low-rise area of Aruba on Eagle Beach, which is the nicer of the 2.

And yea we're on the east coast, that flight to Maui was brutal.

It's all-inclusive I assume?

nah, we don't do all inclusive cause we dont wanna be stuck at a resort all vacation.

i do believe they had the option for it but I am not sure how much it was.

there are plenty of all inclusive places in Aruba though.
