I broiled some chicken breast last sunday and couldn't finish it. Is it ok to eat? It was covered with aluminium foil in the fridge.

update: Alright, well, I took a bite and it didn't taste right so I trashed it. Ate pasta instead. Thanks everyone.

1 week is pushing it. But if you're a student and have a flexible schedule that accomodates multiple desperate runs to the toilet, maybe you can afford to roll the dice.

I guess I'll give it a try and if it "tastes funny", I'll trash it.

if it doesn't look funky or smell funky or feel funky and you get it good and hot first.. it's probably ok. not gonna guarantee it but.. probably. If it met those tests I'd probably eat it. but if you don't eat it today.. pitch it.

(the feeling funky thing is usually the first sign it's getting iffy)

Put it in the microwave to "nuke" any additional bacteria that might have grown on it over the past week. It should then be fine. Enjoy your chicken! :)

Oh, if the flavor is a little funky, just sprinkle some cayenne pepper on it or smother the chicken in BBQ sauce.

It's fine dude. I did the same thing last week... just nuke it for a minute on one side, then nuke another for the other side.

I know you majored in food science but it just didn't taste right even after microwaving it.
