1 video card or 2

hi all, just build a new pc last month, i5core.
quick question on the video card.. I bought the 560ti for $250.
Bought DA2 and have the problems described in this forum. Now in anticipation of crysis2 if I want to upgrade a bit more in terms of video,
what would be the best route?

1.try and sell mine for a small loss and buy the next step up? (which I dont even know which model that would be)
2. add another 560ti?
3.add a 580?

whats better.. to have one beefy card? or add my 560ti to another card?

sorry for the open ended questions... just looking for some opinions

well i guess I wouldnt mind upgrading that.. but the bigger question is what scenario is better to get more video performance. buying a better card and using only 1 card. or using 2 560's?

NOT AN EXPERT, but if you have the one 560, I would get a 2nd and SLI...

otd = out the door

mir = mail in rebate

I dont know how well hybrid SLI works, I know you can do it with some ATI cards in xfire, but I have no experience with the finer parts of SLI sorry

would it be better to have 2 560's or 1 580?

2x 460 or 2x 560 (~2x470) would both be much better than 1 x 580.

There might be a occasional game, where drivers for SLI ect might be lacking, where the 580 would be faster.

But you get much more value just picking up 2x 460 as an exsample.

You could buy 2 x 6850s (they oc like mad) in CF as well, and that would be faster than a 580 too.

What screen resolution? This would be a major consideration whether to use single or dual GPU. Generally speaking if you are gaming at less than 1900x1200 you are better off staying to a single GPU. If its 1900x1200 or higher then you may want to consider dual cards if your budget allows for it. In most cases price vs performance a single GPU is the way to go.
