Tomorrow against UConn though- EVERYONE WATCH THE SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY VS. CONNECTICUT GAME TOMORROW!!! I have season tickets and I will be going f'ing crazy so you might see me! Remember in '96 when SU got the the final four and then finals as a big time Cindarella? Well, I'm going to be getting a chant going with the song that you undoubtedly heard...

"Da' 'Cuse is in da' house, oh my G-d, oh my G-d, dangaaaaa'....dangaaaaa'...."

WOOOOHOOOOO!!! I'm going to be wearing a hat that says "'Cuse" on it and an orange shirt and navy blue pants sitting in the 3rd deck, 4th row up...unless I move down to a better seat.

It's my last home game of the season unless I can go to the game on Tuesday- so I figure I might as well go out with a bang and get the dome rockin'!

Grrr .... That's ok as long as we beat Duke at the end of the ACC Reg Season we should be able to go back to number 1. Got to give everyone else (besides Duke) a good woopin though. Too bad Mihc State and Duke won big cause if they didn't there was a chance UNC could stay near top. Now they will prob be 3 or 4.

SU-UConn is always a good game. The '96 tournament was awesome though. John Wallace carrying the team on his back, coming up huge against Georgia in the sweet 16 and then annhilating Kansas in the elite 8 to make it to the final four. Brings back memories.....now if only this year's team can get it together and make a run like that this year

Syracuse does just fine (undefeated at times) before the month of February. From there, it just goes downhill. It's like they peak well before the end of the season. Oh well. Having some post-baccalaureate study gives me the opportunity to cheer on two schools.

Unfortunately zippy, I'm not going to be at the game I'm from the west side of Syracuse, so I grew up watching SU football and basketball. I wish I could be there tomorrow because it's going to be a great game, but homework is keeping me here in Rochester I'll be watching the game though (I believe it's on ESPN) and cheering SU on to victory. SUO is right though, this is typical Syracuse basketball. They play well until February, then they go on a little slide, and play well in the tournament (when they make it). I guess it's kind of expected though, I mean, there's only so far that 7 or 8 players can take you. After a while, they get worn down and need time off. Once SU can go 9 or 10 deep, they will be more of a force in the Big East. GO ORANGE!!!!!

Yeah, this is quite typical SU bball. Last year we started out 19-0, ranked #4, then we went 6-6 the rest of the way.

I think Shumpert is still hurt from that fall against Seton Hall- he has kinda limped a lil bit once in awhile since then and looks too timid.

Next year we will be a top 5 team...we are getting 4 of the top recruits in the nation. We have a top 5 recruiting class coming in!

Yea, SU will be great next year. With Edelin running point and having a 7' guy in the paint, they could very well go undefeated. That's assuming the freshmen play well all year and don't make as many mistakes as freshmen usually do. Not to mention they get Shumpert back for next year, which will make them even more dangerous. As much as I'm looking forward to next year, there is a pretty good team playin under the teflon roof right now. Needless to say, I will be watching the game tonight. Have fun at the game zippy

Wait! Did they finally replace the roof on the Dome? It was all the rage when I was there in 97-98. Having the roof in place was essential to getting a Michigan-Syracuse football game at the Dome (at the time).

It's also sad that the city doesn't have the infrastructure to support hosting the NCAA tournament finals. I may actually go back to the phroxen tundra for that.

I was on TV...A LOT!!

I got second row seats it turned out and the camera guy loved my section for some reason! I was on sooo much! I had a white hat that said 'Cuse is navy blue letters and a black shirt/sweater and I was sitting next to an old lady and a middle aged lady and behind a tubby guy wearing an orange shirt. Oh, I had glasses on too (didn't have time to put my contacts in before the game).
