Im warning you all to start with im a stoner lol 🙂 but anyway how about this for an idea (i havnt read about it anywhere so i guess it is) since soon we will be seeing dual core cpu's in our pc's, and we already have dual GFX card solutions from nVidia and soon ATi, so (this is just an idea) why could'nt you have one dual core cpu, 2 gfx cards in either SLi or AMR, two monitors, two sound cards, two mice (do u see where im going) two keyboards, etc... then you install the new version of counter-strike DC (dualcore) version (not that there is one) and you and your mate use one pc playing CSdc over the net, awsome. altho if you think about the costs it seems like a good idea, but cleary they could never make a single pc be faster then the same spec but two different machines. or i could just be chatting sh*t lol?!?

Well ill let you lot decide if anyone's intrested,

windows doesn't natively support this, but i have heard of either a device or a specially built pc to allow it, i forget where i read about it

linux has multiple consoles even from a single KVM

the biggest issue is the OS

i thought people would talk about this lol, aw well, and i know xp dont support this lol it was a random stoner thing i thought of, please remeber where u saw that pc id love to have a look at it 🙂

he means at the same time.

I think AT even ran a flash ad of this awhile back. It was a Jetway but I don't remember anything else other than it seemed pretty pointless (to me).

The only thing it is good for are the computer labs at high schools and colleges.

it's a good idea foxor, were you high when you thought of it?

by using myltiple consoles(k, v, and m) on the same computer, you can have one powerful computer that can replace a bunch of small computers. this way you don't waste a bunch of computing power on idle users and can divert the speed to the users that need it when they need it. you could have a modern processor and video card(would need to support multiple screens, but that's something that's not expensive) handle like four different computer users at the same time, and it would be fine for the stuff most users do. this would be less expensive than four different comps that would give the same power

i just want to play CS two player using one pc lol it was just an idea i dont think anyone got what i ment?

oh yeh lol i was fcking cained when i thought of it, strangly enough with another stoned person LOL

Citrix has/had modifications for Windows that allows mulitple users to logg onto a single system at the same time.

Try asking over in the S/W or OS forums for guidance.

For XP SP2, IIRC, allowing a RD user concurrent with a console user was considered as a possible feature. Didn't make the cut, I guess.
