1 out of 3 USB ports not working... Please Help!

I have 3 USB ports on my laptop and I'm guessing the one that isn't working is USB 2.0, the others 3.0. One day I was plugging my mouse into it and the blue screen came up and said it ran into an error, and shut down. In my device manager it says that everything under USB is working right, so I am very confused.

Please tell me if there is more info I should be giving, and thanks for the help in advance.

Check bios configuration. USB interface could be switched off

Before you go any further, have you tried to plug any other type of USB device (such as a flash drive) in to the port to verify it is the port and not just your mouse?

Yes I have tried multiple devices, none work on the broken port.

Bios is usually F2 or DEL at first splash screen when you turn it on. Another thing to try is type Device Manager in search box and then click it. Expand and then uninstall all USB devices and then reboot. Other than that you may have had a port go bad which happens all the time.

Check your BIOS to see if the USB ports are up. Worst case scenario is you damaged the USB Bus its self but I dont see that as being likely.
