fish filets and sausage mcmuffins are 2 for $2.22 at my local mcdonalds ... or order the extra value meal and add the extra sandwich for $1.11

berkeley mcdonalds. but we always have weird specials. one thing i miss is the mini meals though. those were tight.

mcchicken is still the best sandwich though. it tastes like KFC's old chicken littles. sort of. mmmm. i just had two of them.

McChicken uses the same "chicken" that is in the nuggets... well at least used to be in their nuggets.. a recent commercial advertised all white meat or something...

I like the Filet O Fish better than the BK Big Fish... although you get lotsa fish in the BK.

yea, but isn't it fried in animal fat?

how can you like anything that sits in a bin for 12+ hours before they serve it

last time I had one it was more like a little peice of fish jerky on a bun with wilted lettuce and not nearly enough tarter sauce to be edible.

Now the people at McD's try to charge you for extra condiments too. Hey, if that double cheeseburger came right off the grill hot & greasy (like it does at Wendy's and most BK's) maybe I wouldn't *need* the extra ketchup to ease that dry cold peice of rat meat down my throat.

I like fish filet the best next to the double qr. pounder with cheese... man. im starving now...

I had these for lunch today as well! 2 for $2.22 rocks but I wish we had 1 for 1 buck. I wonder if we can PM to others locations? Haha j/k.

I also heard on Jay Leno's monologue that McDonald's is going to use all white meat chicken in their McNuggets now. But then again, it's Jay Leno's monologue! I think the joke was "...weasel farmers are going to go out of business..." or something like that.

certain stores are bad for me.. doesn't matter what particular name store it is...

like certain McD, jack in the box, carl's jr, makes me go watery stools :/

i think it depends on where they get their meat..

The key is to order them without cheese so they have to do a special grill item, then you always get fresh ones instead of ones sitting around for 30 minutes or so....course with the special they should be rolling off the line lightening fast.....

you could actually have it "your way" like BK for mcdonalds foods? anyways, for high volume foods like bigmacs, and deals like fish filets, i dont think they stay under the lamp for long but for the specialized meals its hit and go. it'll either have been staying in lamp long time, or they make it fresh.

Too me I don't get it. Doesn't eating fish defeat the purpose. To me Fish is meat. I mean how hard is it for people to eat veggie's for 1 day of the week for a month. that's just 4 measily days.

I do that 2 a month all year around(No meat, any form). Maybe its me but Are people raised to believe if you can't something that's not an animal that you'll die or something.

Not to crap on your religion or anything. I'm just saying is it that difficult?

But YMMV on this one. Different McDonalds have this special from time to time. Unfortunately the one that did have it in my area has stopped -- 10 FWY Barranca exit, West Covina, CA. I miss it.

BC

w00t to West Covina! i mean booo! i hate that town.
i used to hit up that McDonalds on 89 cent chicken mcnugget every week during high school lunch break.

either of you guys go to south hills? i was there from 96-97 to 99-00... i used to hit them up for 89 cent nuggets too, but i got caught by diebold once... hehehe... no lucnh pass :p hehehe, i had 2 friends who used to work there... and then when they quit, they still knew people who worked there... can you say mad hookups? oh wellz... i'm more of an in and out guy now, especially with that in and out across the street from that mcdonalds... when i do go out and eat fast food... *drool...* 4x4, animal style minus the pickles with animal style fries... anyways, if you guys went to south hills, lemme know... maybe i know you off the forums but don't know it...

edit: i'll prob'ly never know, since the both of you only have a combined post count of 12 :p

fish filets are $1.49 where i work at in san diego..$2.99 for the meal

fish filets (and french fries, nuggets, etc) are deep fried in vegetable oil, not animal

fish filets w/o tartar sauce should cut the fat grams in half.. add tomato and lettucce to make it "healthier"

if u want hot food, ask for the burger meat to be well done..jus gonna have to wait a minute longer..dont jus ask for extra cheese or something, cuz the meat itself is still gonna be from the warmer

it doesnt cost extra at our restaurant to add/delete veggies/sauces (extra cheese is 10 cents)

Yummy!!! Look at all the Protein you get. You could eat 20 of these things and have 100% of your RDA of protein. GO FISH!!!

thats a typo. its 15% each. so quite a few less then 20 to get 100% rda :)

that being said, i could probably max out at two, u peeps have some huge ass stomachs.

anyways, they taste good:) unlike bk bigfishes.

In Chicago today (or rather, yesterday, now) at the McDonalds on Cicero, near Midway, they had $.79 fish filets from 11am to 2pm.

When I go to McDee for breakfast, I usually order the Sausage McMuffin with scrambled egg... never had a problem.

The value meal is $2.99, so there's no reason the sandwich isn't $.99 all the time.
(McChicken value meal same price, but $.99 sandwich only.)
I wish they were $.99. I like them.

I remember when I was a kid, all my Catholic friends ate fish EVERY Friday, not just during Lent.
I worked at McDonalds in high school and Fridays were THE big day for Filet-o-Fish. Not so anymore.
Did the Pope issue some sort of decree or has Catholicism been watered down like every other societal value?
