It was worth it though. The screen was beautiful and the sound was fantastic. Yeah there were some morons who didn't turn off their pagers or cell phones but it's usually drowned out by the movie.
We enjoyed a nice movie and had a late dinner afterwards. All in all a nice night out with the wife.
If we decided to download the movie as some people here seem to do we would have been sitting home squinting our eyes at some crappy video trying to hear what was being said. Some night that would have been.
I think the MPAA is make a big ado over nothing. Let people download their crappy versions of movies. I'll stick to the seeing it on the big screen or spending $2 to rent a dvd.
Agreed. I love going to a theatre to see a
good movie. There's nothing like seeing a good flick on a huge digital screen with amazing theatre surround sound. IMO, well worth the price.
Although, I really think the MPAA is more worried about people downloading DVD ripped movies, even if they won't admit it. And you don't have to watch these things on a monitor with computer speakers, either, with video cards having TV output. You can get a $3 cord that plugs your sound card into a stereo receiver.
Who knows how many people out there have a stockpile of dvd rips, on networked computers, all sending these .avi's to a computer within their entertainment center? Talk about
video on demand, they got Time Warner beat out.
If anything, piracy has done well for ISP's, makers of hard drives and optical media.
