I will speak slower this time
When a merchant offers a deal like the ones above it's sort of an advertising / promotional offer. The idea is to get someone to come to the site, check it out and get a good deal...possibly ordering a few more items or at least remembering them the next time they need something. Someone coming there and ordering up 10, 100, 1000 of them to resell is not what they had in mind with that offer. Now if one had 10 actual machines to use these in I don't see a problem, but when you go to resell now you are biting the hand that fed you since you took a possible customer away from that merchant ... sure they still got 'your' sale, but they didn't get the benefit of that person checking out their site and possibly ordering more items, and the word of mouth of them telling their friends about the cool deal they got.
Then all these items flood the auction sites and those selling off their hardware now have to take a loss as the market becomes flooded. I remember last year with the Dell / Altec Lansing ATA880's for $24.95. Ebay had like 10 pages of them for about $50-$150+. The same thing happens with soda and discounted food products in our local stores, even with the limits posted some business owners try coming in and taking the whole stock of 2 liter sodas for 50 cents each, then get all bent out of shape when they are told the limit is 10.
I love getting a good deal, but I hate the deal rapists.
This is my opinion, so agree or disagree it's not a problem. If people keep raping, especially with the anandtech effect, dealers will not offer such deals. Go after pricing errors not legitimate specials that are to be repeated.
