1 GB + Android 4.1 & up?

Anybody here using an Android smartphone with 1 GB and running 4.1 or above? If so, any issues? Do you feel 2 GB is a must for 4.1 and beyond?

I have a moto razr maxx hd with 1GB running 4.1.2. It's totally smooth. Moto basically uses stock android though so that may be why.

You thinking about the G? When I saw it, I thought "huh, the Atrix HD wasn't very exciting the first time".

I had 1gb on my GNex for a while. It will definitely work for now, but the app/tab persistence with 2gb is awesome.

I have the chance to snag an HTC First brand new for $200. I like my S4 Active a great deal but I would like something a touch smaller and lighter. I remember demoing the First at AT&T when it came out and liking it a great deal. Obviously I would disable the Home launcher.

I installed Clean Master last week and almost daily I get a warning that I'm approaching 2 GB of memory on my S4 Active. So I'm a bit concerned about using a 1 GB Android phone. I would happily use the G but it's not coming to the States till January. I could of course wait till then.

For a couple of months, I used a HTC Inspire on 4.2.2 with 768mb of RAM and it wasn't that terrible.
