Right now, no. Don't make a bet you can't afford to lose. I feel sorry for the people who's lives suck enough that they'd actually do this.

Nope, and I feel sorry for all of you who actually care about money enough to say yes.

If I were terminally ill I would do it and donate the money to charity, however.

Only if there was a compensation to my family of 10% (100 mil) if I lost. And it's not that I'm greedy or my life sucks, it's just that with a billion dollars I could have really outrageous fun for the rest of my life and for that, I'd give it a shot; it would be worth the risk.

There isn't enough Vodka in the universe to get me to do it. Sure, it's a crap load of money, but life is worth living without it.

I'd be insane if you had to go against an opponent until somebody died......like in "The Deer Hunter".

Hahahaha  Sorta noble i guess

I wouldn't do it. I'm young, and relatively well off. I'm not sure risking death is worth 1bil. Besides, i say no safely knowing i will never have this opportunity. I'm sure i'd prefer not to risk losing everything, to gain what'll probally destroy me anyway.

It's not a 1/6 chance of finishing life with no monetary worries.. its a 6/6 chance ;)

Depends on the gun. Are we talking about a single .22 shot in a 7-round revolver? Or a single round hydroshock loaded into a g21?

As opposed to....what? Do you think you are going to live forever or something?

Perhaps many of you miss the point that you have 100% odds of dying *anyway*. This changes nothing, you'd STILL have 100% odds of dying....just with a 5/6 chance of living for a little bit longer in splendid luxury.

Hell no I wouldn't do it. First, even if I was interested in participating, knowing very well how my luck would invariably go, I would blow my head off. If I had a one in a million chance of it going off rest assured it would go off on me.
Having said that even one billion dollars can't compensate for the laughter and joy with my kids, beautiful sunny days and little things in life we take for granted that I would lose.
