Guys I also have one of those 10% stackable coupons from earlier in the week. Can I apply that to the deal and also use the $45 coupon???

Why not just try and see if it works? You should tell us what kind of coupon it is, most likely, it's a Small Business coupon right? So it wouldn't work.

I agree.

Why not give it a try and the 10% off is probably Dell SB not Dell Home.

No the original 10% instant off deal was with Dell SB, and now it's not there anymore. Eh, $292 is still a good deal, :)

I picked up a Kodak DX6340, 3.1mp 4x zoom SD memory camera from Dell when this same deal was kicking a week ago.

I paid 283 shipped for the camera. I received it tuesday and am quite happy with it. If you are interested in the Canon A70, this one is worth a look.

Guys, I found out the 10% off is MESSED UP! Click here. Click on "Offer Details" where it says "10% OFF SOFTWARE AND PERIPHERALS!"

It says "OFFER EXPIRES THURSDAY, JUNE 26th, 2003 11PM CT". Yet, I try to add the Sony DSC-P92 to my cart, and the automatic 10% off isn't applied? I added it to my cart earlier in the week and it worked (automatically took the 10% off when I added to cart)!? Should I just order this and call them after my order goes through, and do you think they will knock the additional 10% off? If they don't, then u should take the "10% off" part out of this deal, cuz it's not there anymore according to Dell's checkout feature and you will be disappointed...

EDIT: It's now working! Strange, but I swear it wasn't applying the discount before?

excellent question.

i have owned a Canon S200 (same footprint as S230) and it was a great size. I saw the sony DSC-P72 the other day at the store and it looked HUGE compared to the s230. I have seen the Exilim (but never held it) but seems to be a marvel in size. so this might be the best ultra compact. the exilim z3 uses the newer PENTAX OPTIO optics, which makes it a vast improvement over the Casio Ex-s3.

You might want to read about all three at www.dpreview. or www.steves-digicams.com.

These websites also have pictures for you to compare.

good luck.

Haven't heard of any success stories regarding the SB coupon at the Home store.

Of the three: Casio Exilim EX-Z3, Sony P-72, Canon S230. I'd recommend the S230. I bought it for my brother last year and recently ordered the S400 through this deal. I read a review in which the Canon S230 was compared with the Pentax Optio, and though both cameras were small (Pentax smaller) there were slight differences in quality with the Canon coming out on top. That persuaded me to go with the Canon over the Pentax. However, in the real world, you probably won't notice the difference, so if the ultra compactness of the Casio floats your boat, go ahead with that, I however value Canon's background in the camera world so I chose to go with them. Of course... read the reviews before buying. Sony, I can't really say... haven't had much experiences with them =T.

Forget the Casio it cannot compete against the Canon and Sony.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the Canon vs Sony digicams including complete specs and sample pictures.

I love people comparing ultracompacts with compacts then saying the compact is better picture quality. OF COURSE IT IS! A SLR is also better quality than a S230 but again, the point is being missed.

I have the EX-Z3 (it's sitting on my desk right now). 4 of my friends bought it as well. I absolutely love the camera. The LCD is 2" so it's nice and big...especially for sucha small camera. It's a bit thicker than the S2/S3, but that's what happens when you add the Zoom capability. Also the Best Shot feature is pretty cool and allows you to optimize the picture for the setting.

The main reason I got it is for portability. I'm not going to do anything with a camera that I cant just keep in my pocket and take around. I think the Canon A70 is great and like it alot, but it's too big and therefore not functional for me. I don't know anything about how Sony digicams stack up so I wont say anything, but I'm sure the S230 is a nice alternative. I was thinking about it, but size and "coolness" mattered to me, so I went with the EX-Z3.

If you're looking for the perfect picture, then go with an SLR, but if you looking for a nice camera to just take anytime pics, then I say the EX-Z3. :)

No doubt the difference is a given, I think it's up to every buyer to really decide for himself/herself how to weigh the pros and cons. Will that extra quarter of an inch really make all that much of a difference in my pocket as compared to how much image quality I would stand to benefit by bumping up? We aren't just stating the obvious, we are trying to give weight to the various aspects of this purchase.
