I just paid off my Amex card today. Felt good. Now I'm moving on to my Captial One card which is carrying a small balance, made a payment on that too.

The third one is in collection because HSBC were dicks about it and didn't want to work with me to resolve it amicably (they screwed me 4 times in 3 months when I opened the account and never sent me the bills, with no online access, and wouldn't do anything over the phone aside from supposedly update my address 3 times and resend the bills, which never showed up).

The car payment is up to date, as is the student loan, and somehow I still have a bit of money in the bank. Go economy! This is the right way to stimulate the economy!

LOL the horror stories I could tell you about HSBC behind the scenes....
congrats OP... I'm on my way to 1 being zero'ed out too

I've got one card with a fair balance and another with a small one (groceries, etc). If only the government would give me my refund. Then I'd be set...

I have a similar objective, but at the moment I'm trying to lower my interest rates, consolidate debt, and increase total cash flow. Once that project is finished I can start killing debts. 🙂

That's always the hard part. I am seriously considering picking up a part time job just to get ahead. I'm worried though that once I get to that point, I might become addicted to the disposable income. 🙂
