1 computer speaker doesn't work

when plugged into the rear audio out on my motherboard. The one that doesn't work is the one with the volume and bass knob.

Mobo is an MSI P55-GD55 with onboard sound, speakers are Logitech Z523. The speakers work fine when plugged into the front audio jack on my PC though. I'm running Windows 7.

dunno, plug in another set or headphones to test the rear output.
