What's the typical operating temp for a 1.7GHz Celeron (FC-PGA2, 478-pin, 400MHz FSB) w/ retail fan/heatsink?

My proc is OC'ed right now but if I remember correctly it got down to about 20 degrees celcius idle and like 30 degrees celcius load with the stock cooler and some AS3.

ya. room temp is more than 20C(20C=68F) how did you get it so low. or did you mess up.

My comp is downstairs and I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Hold on a sec..I think my neighbour's igloo just collapsed....lol j/k

Oh, and I almost forgot, my mobo is an Asus P4P800 Deluxe. From what I've heard, they tend to give temps a little lower than actual.

its hotter in winnipeg then it is at my house. its 77F up in winnipeg(weather.com)

meh. To tell the truth, I like the cold. I once went outside in shorts at -20 c and i also once walked through some water covered in ice that was like 1-1.5 feet deep. lol this was supposed to be CPU/ overclocking thread but whatever :D

the coldest it gets where i am Australia (winter now) is uhhh... about 16c
