Hey,

I'm here looking for some suggestions or idea about a new build I'm looking to do.

This is what I'm think about right now...

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=13307654

All I need is a blu-ray drive, but I'm not sure what one to get.

Thanks!

What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Video Editing, Photoshop, Programming, Gaming, and Web.

What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
1.5k

What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
United States

IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Not a fanboy!

If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Reusing monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
Yeah, I have.

IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
I'm going to overclock it.

What resolution YOU plan on gaming with.
1920x1080

WHEN do you plan to build it?
I'm going to order them next weekend.

Blu Ray driver, get anyone you like
cheaper ram, generic ddr3 1333 1.5V
Cheaper case. haf 922?
i5 2500K with Z68 mobo
change to 600 watt psu

PLEASE FILL OUT THE INFO FOUND IN THE STICKY!

Those parts look fine for the most part. I would normally suggest the i5 2500K, but the i7 2600K is somewhat worth it since you are doing video editing.

The two main parts I would change are:
- Mobo: The GA-Z68A-D3H has more features and costs less.
- PSU: The XFX Core 650W is a good PSU, but the Antec HCG-620 is slightly better and is $50 AR right now.
