JFK has been quite regularly hit by the mob so that's where I'd be looking first if I was the police/FBI. Still, with the added security after 911 you'd think anyplace tied to a target airport would have better security.

Apple devices sell for retail or marked up on craigslist/eBay. So would be warm deal at best. Stolen = hot, markup = cold
