1.5 days til I graduate, 1.5 days til I pack up for good, and 1.5 days left of 100 megabit ethernet. After that, I'm relegated to the realm of good ol' 56K dialup til I'm back to school next fall.

I'm not a heavy downloader, but still, 56K is going to bite...

That does suck. I am on a cable connection at home, and fear the day I may ever have to use 56k again. I had to use it at a friends house a few weeks ago, most painful experience I've had in a while.

Isn't this like the 4th or 5th thread about no more broadband for the summer?

Waaah!! Most (well, some at least) of us used to deal with 300baud (that's 0.3kbps) back in our days.

Yeah...websites are bloated with graphics and stuff now but, hey, 56k ain't all that bad for a couple months ;)

Hehe, I got 10Mbit VDSL - soon to be 20Mbit VDSL connection at HOME. It only costs $20 per month, and it works like ethernet(meaning it's always connected unlike dial-up xDSL services).
I was happy that 20Mbit service was coming, but then again I realized many of my friends have been using 50 - 80Mbit service.
The only problem is that I'll be out of the country, soon. Thus, I feel your pain.......

Hey, you edited out the block about you being a warezmonkey, being that you C&P'ed this from either one of the two threads you have bragging about.

I am the thief, and you're the stalker. :)
BTW, I didn't copy, and paste those lines. I actually wrote 'em, again.

Oh, and I live in S. Korea. Here, 1/4 population of people(11 million) have xDSL connections which means they're installed in almost every home. Recently, ISPs started to offering 20Mbit VDSL service not to mention 50 - 80Mbit services.

Indeed, I have a GPS cell phone. Very useless, though.

Don't forget to download Oolong the Pancake Bunny. It might take you too long to get it on a 56k.
