its a week 25 ahjya(?) y chip

the reason im not overclocking is, my power supply is only rated for athlon 900,
i get random reboots at 1533

A lot of people have reported the same thing, htyei, it seems to be fairly normal to undervolt, although not always that much.

At the default of 1.4GHz, the lowest I've been able to get my AYHJA is 1.55 volts too. Incredible chip :)

Anyone know if an ECS K7S5A is capable of undervoltage?
I'd like to see if it can help with my heat problems.

Cool tip. Noticed on my lil 900mhz it had 1.8 volts going to it, dumb motherboard me and my friend have use this for the defualt voltage to the core. Constantly ran at 129 under load if the room was like, 79 degrees. Changed it down to 1.6 volts and cut it down quite a bit. Right now under load (running seti) room temp is 79 degrees and the core is 114.:D

Right now on average im getting the following temp drops:

Full Load:
1.8 Volts, room temp 79 degrees. CPU core temp 129 degrees
1.6 Volts, room temp 79 degrees. CPU core temp 113/111 degrees
Total temp drop: 16-18 degrees.

Idling:
1.8 Volts, room temp 79 degrees. CPU core temp 111 degrees
1.6 Volts, room temp 79 degrees. CPU core temp 104-102 degrees
Total temp drop: 7-9 degrees.

Im also running vcool, which has generally helped me drop a few degrees when at idle. All temps were taken while vcool was installed, so no variation possible there anyways. My friend has basically the same setup as me, he dropped to 1.6 volts also and has seen a similar loss in temp. Like I said before, thanks for the good tip guys...I was also worried/tired of my comp running at what I thought was an excessive cpu temp (for a 900mhz ne wayz).

yeah with this batch of processors, you can really save on temperature, didnt know so many people were over heating.

athough, I've installed thre 1.33-1.4 ghz processors and the motherboard defaults to 1.8-1.82... isnt it all suppsoed to be 1.75 anyway?

Thanks for the post buddy.I've also been having heat problems. My 1.33 has been running at 1.8VCore when I know it's supposed to be running at 1.74. I'll change it tonight and see what happens.

Thanks again...
