a taisol cgk760092 with a delta comes VERY close to matching the swiftech, costs half as much, and can be taken off w/o having to remove the whole mobo.

my 1.0ghz palo is running at 1.49ghz at 8.5x175 using the cgk760092 and a quiet sunon 26cfm.

Not even close if you're pushing the limit (1.6 GHz+ with 1.85V+)

Otherwise, the Taisol is ok.

Cheers!

The 8045 isn't much of a breakthrough HSF. Alpha's are well designed but they use too little copper in the bottom. We're at the limit with air cooling at 110 watts or so as it is.

I forgot to mention my MC462 is nearly silent with a 33 CFM Adda 80mm fan too! The 10mm thick stock fan on the Taisol was NOISY in comparison! The MC462 with the 68CFM Delta is a monster but I don't like people thinking I'm in my car when I'm on the telephone! :Q

Cheers!
