Welcome to the Team. Whichever way you go, you will be supported in anyway we can.

The membership fee is waived the first month, but every month after is $100. We waive the fee if you assimilate 700 Mhz of CPU power a month. You choose which way you want to pay the fees.

Jay

P.S. If you pay the fees with money, I take Visa/MC/AMEX/Discover. Sorry, no Diners Club accepted.

oh yeah... if you overclock too much... it starts corrupting work units and sends them back as empties. generally a bad thing. so make sure its not doing that. but anyways,

Bienvenidos a TeAm Anandtech!

Two WU's in under 5 hours? Is that good? Let's just say it takes my P3-700@1000 CAS 2-2-2 around 6 hours to do a single WU. So yes, that's quite fast. You must've gotten one of those quick WU's that have too much noise in them to analyze. Either that or you've got your box overclocked a bit too much. Some members have found that they get corrupted WU's if their system is overclocked too high. If you get a bunch of WU's that complete *very* fast (as in a few minutes) try setting your FSB speed down a digit or two. You've got a smokin' system so you should be able to crank out the WU's with it. Let it run a while and see what kind of average you're getting. I'm sure everyone would be interested to see what a 1350Mhz CAS 2-2-2 box can do.

Welcome to the Team!!!

Robor:

Cool..I am glad that's a good speed. I just wanted to make sure all was going well. The system is rock stable...by my tests anyway. For stability, I loop the Prime 95 "torture test" and Q3 together for 72 hours straight..if it does not crash..it's stable enough for me. Anyway..the work units do not appear to be corrupted..it still takes a couple hours to complete each WU. Also, this is a Thunderbird setup, so 150mhz is really a 300mhz DDR bus, that probably helps with the overall system bandwith as opposed to a non-DDR P3 bus...I am just guessing though. I am glad I am helping the team..I will stay on 24/7 and see how many I have done by tomorrow. :) Thanks for all your help guys!

Welcome to TA!

I have found Seti Spy a very useful add on. The logging that it does is very interesting, and you can import it into a spreadsheet to do your own stats.

Insane3D: Sure sounds like you've got it stable all right. A couple of hours to complete each WU? Under the 3.03 client? That's freaking flying! Congrats on the awesome rig!!! :)

Welcome to the TeAm! Thanks for joining TA SETI! :D

Kicka$$ wu times BTW! Let us know your average after about 20-30 wu's. You're making me want to upgrade, LOL.

[edit]Holy $hit?! I just looked and you have 5 wu's done with an average of 4.0 hrs/wu! That's amazing with v3.03. Just like the good old days with the 2.x and 3.0 CLI. :) Now I'm really starting to understand reason behind 3.03, at this rate with v3.0 their bandwidth would have SKYROCKETED![/edit]

badthad:

Thanks.. I am glad I can help the team. One thing, when I go to the Seti stats page for me, and I click on "display last 10 WU", I get a message the database is under high load..and I get nothing. How to check my stats?

Insane3D - the "Last 10 work units" has been turned off for sometime by the SETI folks. Unfortunately, their servers couldn't handle the load of people going to it all the time. From some of the last messages I've seen from the SETI principles, I doubt that it will be turned back on anytime soon... I guess they really need to re-do the pages and take that feature off...

It was cool though and they even "accidently" (as they claim) turned it on a couple weeks ago (and got blown away doing it too... ;))

If you got to your main account stats (where you tried the "last 10" option), then that's your stats... TA also keeps stats for members at various places including here and here.
