It actually looks kinda cheezy, I was expecting some bad ass looking lava monster or something else impressive. That looks like a gremlin.

The hype machine is working well for this movie. Give it a catchy code name, put some creative directors name on it, and show a clip with thousands of unanswered questions and you have yourself marketing gold. Gold I tells ye!
 
It is an interesting marketing technique, I'll give them that. Supposedly the movie is about Cthulhu, but who knows. They've kept the think in such secrecy that the actors they auditioned had no idea what the movie was about until they signed on and showed up to work.

The have the live action camera skills down. The only thing I am questioning is the explosions and rockets from a monster? What the hell kind of monster can shoot rockets?
