1,000VA UPS can provide how many WATTS?

There's a UPS sitting here. It's rated at 1,000VA. How many watts can I hook up to this thing? What's the max wattage I can pull from it?

Depends on the phase angle. That's why its rated in VA....

edit.. To give some more info on this, multiply the PF by the VA and you should be fine. Most inductive loads have a PF of no less than 0.8, unless its a big motor or such.

Thanks guys. I'm not worried about run time; just want to use it for the AVR and power surge protection. Want to know how much of a load I can put on it. :)

1000VA=x Volt * y Amp in DC world. After inverter it's anyone's guess. Usually you multiply VA by 0.6 to estimate wattage.
