I actually get this same error when I try and load TBC onto my system. I'm able to load most other games without trouble but this game gives me the same error weather it is at 99% load or 1% load. This is after a complete re installation of windows and updated drivers, nothing else. Ive ran memtest and it found nothing wrong, same with a few other programs for various other components. I honestly doubt its overheating because a 9800xt, amd 4000+, and ddr 400 ballistix 2-2-2-8 dont even get above 30C according to the ati reader.

Like I said, Buy new ram. Memtest isn't real at all. I could memtest all day on my old sticks, broken is broken, worn is worn. get new ram.

I have some generic ddr 400 (same size) and it still does the same thing and the socket itself doesn't look bad.
