You had to have hit some monster pot holes or drove on some shitty ass road to blow struts on ONE SIDE of the car only. If it was a Toyota defect, all 4 would be leaking...

Yep!

"They also found that both of my right side struts are leaking. "

It is your driving that's at fault IMHO.

Wonder if this is an isolated incident or if the newer camries are going have rotten suspension again like they did in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Update:

Went in and showed the car to my local Toyota dealer. They agreed that 3 of the struts were "wicking" - Oil was not pouring out the side but was making it past the seals. And that they should not have been doing that. The fourth strut (back left) looks just fine and they are going leave it alone.

Toyota is going to replace those 3 struts under a good faith warranty but I will need to pay for a realignment.

They said they could not replace the brakes for me as they are a wear item and they couldn't do anything about those.

I will end up paying for a realignment $85 and to have the dealer turn the rotors $120.

All in all for about $200 I will be back on the road and putting many more miles on my Camry.

and struts aren't a wear item? Hmmmm I guess struts should last forever given this theory........

Although I do agree that leaking struts @ 40k is bad.

Replacing 3 out of 4 struts is just a bad idea...you'll probably end up with an odd ride and handling characteristics that are strange at best, or unpredictable / dangerous at worst, due to possibly different damping rates on the one corner. A 40k mile strut will not perform the same as a brand new identical part.

I'd push for the 4th one, or pay extra to have it done at the same time.
