MSRP for '06 Miata (from miataforum)
Are these reasonable and in line with what previous generations were priced?
I'm on the lookout and starting some research.

Wouldn't it make sense to ask on the miataforums, rather than ATOT, otherwise known as the miata bashing forum?

i don't want to sign up for yet another forum.
i'd like opinions outside of a miata fanbase (in case their opinions are skewed by their enthusiasm)

i dont know about the older models and prices, but these prices are pretty damn good. Small rear wheel drive sports car decently fast fully loaded at 26k...not bad at all

Club Spec is worthless. No way I would pay 20K for any car without AC. Nto to mention the steering wheel is plastic.
The MX5 should be pushed down to Club Spec price, The Toruing should be at MX5 price Sport at Touring Price, Grand Touring at Sport price andLimited at the price it's at without the (VERY LIKELY) dealer markups since it's a 750unit limited run. It's too costly now Miata was supposedto be everyman's roadster and it's slowly moving out of it's segment. I prefer Gen3 styling. It looks really good.

Premium Package 1 & 2 are same price even though #1 has everything #2 has and a free LSD?

Actually, it's not completely worthless for the people that would use it as a club racer or even a cheap summer weekend only car. Though I do have to question why the 5spd in the Club Spec with no option for the 6speed? I'd like to see the gearing for it before I completely stick my foot in my mouth though.

I wonder if Ford is forcing a higher MSRP in an attempt to bring the Miata more upmarket or if it's just putting the higher MSRP so it can just discount it back down to proper market levels.

Uh...you're aware what "Club Spec" means, right?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Given that no one has actually driven both of these cars yet, all this speculation is silly

yes, but the # of buyers will be few. I just dont see a real market. Maybe a 2-5 of percent of Miata sales will be club spec.

Not true. I have already read a full road test on the new gen MX-5. I've not seen one on the Sky yet.

The MX-5 has heritage, Saturn has....a bad reputation? Having owned a Gen 2 in the past I highly doubt the Gen 3 won't be a vast improvement on the formula.

I agree. Saturn is proven crap, Miata is proven gold.

How could you possibly pretend to know this when the Sky hasn't even been reviewed yet, and won't even been released until next year?

Anyway, given that the Miata is proven, and the Sky is not, I highly doubt that the Sky will be better than the Miata.
