05 winchesters

Hmm... I wonder if I should buy one before my next CC statement, so I can then clear room for a 6800GT. Decisions, decisions...

I ordered from Monarch, I think I got an 05 because it runs extremely cool. 25C at the moment, with the fan spinning, sometimes it doesnt even spin, when I am idle at windows. It never goes above 30C, most I ever saw was 33C, when I was playing HL2 had 2 firefox windows open, aim, xfire, and mirc. I might overclock in the near future, for now, I will run stock.

I got an 05 week 4 from Monarch. Haven't overclocked yet, my Geil failed memtest so I'm waiting until I get that replaced, and letting my AS5 burn in.

How do I know what week my cpu was made on? Here are the numbers on my winnie, ADA 3200 DIK4BI, CBBID 0451BPEW, 1173667A50449. This is my first AMD to build on so I'm a little ignorant .

Oh well, I got mine from ZZ-Fly, I will be putting it all together this week and see how high I can oc it. I hope my Asus SLI D is good for it.

What are the numbers I should look for to get the '05 AMD's? I have been asked to build a pc and I plan on the 3000+ winchester.

ADA 3200 DIK4BI, CBBID 0451BPEW, 1173667A50449

That was what one guy posted. Do you see the 0451BPEW? The 0451 means year 04, week 51. So a cpu made in the year 05 and week 1 would read 0501 where the 0451 is.

I got a retail 3200+ from newegg:

ADA3200+DIK4BI
CBBID0501EPBW

Week 1 of 2005, and it overclocks well. 2.5Ghz (10X250) at 1.5V 29c idle 39c load, stable in everything except Prime95, which errors after 5 hours.
If I up the volts to 1.6 will run Prime95 12 hours +
Will boot to windows and run any benchmarks and games @ 2.6 (10X260) @1.65V with good temps
Overall very happy with my week 1

DFI nForce4 LP UT Ultra-D 2/18 Bios
3200+ Winchester @ 2.5 (10X250)
OCZ 4200 EL Platinum 1Gig (2X512)
Zalman 7000B ALCu
ATI X850XT (540/560)
WD Raptor 74 Gig
OCZ 450W Modstream

I have a week 1 2005 3500+. So far I've only turned it up to 2.4Ghz and it runs fine. I'm going to run at 2.4ghz for a week and then try higher.

Yes,Akugami just explained it. For example(once again), my stepping is CBBHD 0447TPDW.The first 2 digits(04) on the second set is the year and 47 is the week.
