I really like it. My dad is wanting to give his 02 GT to my mom and get a Cobra next year. This just might make him wait.

Did they ever get the Cobra QC issues under control? I heard there were big problems w/ the 03... Bumpers falling off and such.

I saw something on TV about it. That pic doesn't do it justice. It has that modern mature retro look. The real thing looks a lot better than that pic.

Weird, double post with a post in between. Anyways, I think the show on TV was about the history of the mustang.

Does it remind anyone else of the Mustang II?

Jason

Yeah, the TV show talked about that. I think the point of the design of this car is a merge between the Mustang II and the Mustang.

ALthough they've toned it down a bit from the concept, I think it looks good. Much better than the current car.

Never heard of that one. The only problems I have heard of were all minor and the only widespread problem I have heard of is some slop in the driveshaft that has something to do with the IRS being in a car originally not designed for one. Doesn't hurt anything but it can be slightly anoying.

Wow, pure ugly. I didn't think they could the Mustang more ugly from the current model, but they managed to do it. That also has to be the ugliest gauge cluster I've seen in my life.

I predict that instead of the 20 year old idiots buying it for its intro muscle car'ness, 30-40 year olds will be buying it to remember the good old days. Hopefully they beef the engine up because the current stock is lacking across the board.

The GTO is going to kick this thing's ass in sales.

Have you been drinking :)?

They are all getting more power from the v6 to the dohc supercharged cobra and its already making 390hp. How much more do you want?

The v6 base mustang sells for around $16-17k and they sell a lot of them. The GTO is going to sell for what $35-40k and is going to be a niche car.

The 67-68 Mustang fastback is one of my favorite cars. But I would not buy a car that kind of looked like one just because of its styling....

Someone call Ford and tell them what year it is.

They really need some NEW ideas. I can create plenty of cars based on cars from the 60's and 70's.
I think retro is great for a special edition run but not for every mustang.
