I like "5th Gear" http://www.speedtv.com/programs/218/ on SpeedTV.

IMHO, it's much better than 5th.

Top Gear is a LOT better than 5th Gear IMO. The three stars have a real chemistry and wit, and the producers manage to come up with really clever and entertaining segments, week after week (I was rolling at the sub-1.5K sports coupe race this week). The Stig lap board is awesome as well, as a way of providing real-world data on the cars' performance. The production values are top-flight (though Fifth Gear is also good in this respect).

Fifth Gear is a lot dryer and more akin to the crappy American car shows, like Car and Driver TV. Jason Plato and that fat, frizzy-haired guy are just plain annoying, although Tiff is still great, and Vicki is OK.

I can't echo enough about Top Gear's production team. The cinematography, camera work, sound, music...is all top notch!

TG definitely has better production values... but their track is kinda blah and Stig is their only "driver."
Also, TG tends to be more biased and uninformed, which can be entertaining and sad at the same time.

ie "Leaf springs... "

Oh tell me about it. The fat guy is seriously irritating, not to mention the other guy that they have doing the "safety" stuff here and there, with the seriously annoying over-pronunciation of the English language. He often does gadget shows, and calls a PC a "com-pyooter".
