Another unoriginal, borrowed design from lexus. Nothing to see here.

Well, I think that the IS300 is an original design...and their BEST design. I hope that they don't uglify the next gen model.

Their best design was the older SC300/400 (not to be confused with the SC430). I also loved their first gen LS400, sure it was a Mercedes copy, but it was still a damn good design. Cheaper and more reliable than the Benz, whats not to love? The current GS300/400/430 is a very nice design too, altho I'm not to fond of their interior & gauge layout, but still a sweet car.

I don't understand why people get upset over a copy-ed design? Who cares? The Hynduai Sonata is a copy of a Jaguar, but its still a nice looking car.
Because an original design is better than a replica of an old design from another manufacturer. It's the difference between the real thing and a wannabe.

with the planned 280HP, I tend to think that the extra 30HP (as compared to the N/A 250 horsed) won't be coming from twin turbos  we'll see though

Seems manufacturers are shying away from turbos on sports cars these days...350Z, RX-8, and now the proposed Supra and RX-7. Heck, if 280+ hp is attainable without the warranty repair headaches of a turbo I guess I can't blame them.

Edit: and I REALLY hope Mazda moves away from the retarded "happy face" front end...it hurts the RX-8 enough as it is, especially when it's turned into a buck-toothed happy face with a license plate.
