Anyone familiar with GM troubleshooting? I have the 3 lights mentioned above come on once in awhile. If I turn the car off and restart they don't come on. The lights don't appear separate, if they come on all 3 does. I'm guessing it's some problem in the ABS module.

ABS and traction would be related, they're managed by the same module and use the same electronic components to function.

an ABS light usually goes out as soon as the fault is no longer found active. the check engine light, however, should stay on for a few key cycles, in your case it seems odd that it will go off if the car is restarted.

you need to have the codes read. anything up until that is just random guessing.

It's the service vehicle light not the engine one that goes on. I had a friend try to read it but since it wasn't the engine one his tool couldn't get any codes.

my mistake, i thought service vehicle soon was the MIL on your car.

apparently the 'SVS' light is tripped by the BCM. you most likely have a bad wheel speed sensor (or hub bearing).

find someone who can read the code. it doesn't take a super complex scanner to retrieve codes from a GM BCM, but a cheap pocket code reader won't cut it.
