The movie wasn't bad, it was basically nonstop action which is what Bond audiences look for these days. Major plotholes and inconsistencies, of course, but that's standard Bond. Some of the "surprises" were incredibly telegraphed, as well. But I was entertained.

I wasn't impressed with Halle Berry's performance either. I think she is usually a good actress but her delivery in this movie was pretty bad (not Denise Richards-bad, but still).

Denise Reichards is a much much worse actress than Berry.

I've only seen Berry in Swordfish and Die another Day, so I don't presume to judge her acting talent on those...I think she's rather unattractive, but I don't think you can say she's a bad actor compared to the other bond girls.

If you liked the last two I don't wanna hear your opinion cause they were crapola (IMO), but if you thought that goldeneye was at least good (cause it was decent), and the last two were video sh*t, what did you think of this one? Is it more cartoon-stunt garbage that further ruined the Bond name, or does it try to revive what was once a fine string of films?

I don't know. I think that the movie did a pretty good job as a Bond movie.

I have different expectations when I walk in to watch a Bond flick and I was quite satisfied.

There are only a few Bond movies that I HIGHLY despise. Those being A View to a Kill, Octopussy, and TWINE. I thought that Tomorrow Never Dies was just decent. My favorites however are (top one being my favorite):

On Her Majesty's Secret Service (sure, it wasn't Connery, but this is probably the most well thought out Bond flick, and of epic proporation...also the longest Bond flick)
Thunderball (this movie just ownz!!)
Goldfinger (no explanation needed)
Goldeneye
The Living Daylights (so hard edged. Gotta love it. It feels more buttoned down and more dramatic instead of campy and funny. Reminds me a lot of OHMSS)
You Only Live Twice
Die Another Day



The rest are on varying levels on my scale...and I absoulely DESPISE Roger Moore:disgust:

That's what I liked about OHMSS and The Living Daylights. Timothy Dalton is a VERY good and accomplished English actor and he brought a more serious tone to Bond. And there was a lot more dialogue in those films.

Most of the latest Bond films of been more bang than brains.

I keep b*tching about TWINE but it wasn't too bad. I didn't mind Tomorrow Never Dies either.

In terms of creativity, storyline and acting, though, I think that the new ones have a tough time catching up with the old ones.

BTW, NFS4, Roger Moore is cool.

George Lazenby played the "best" Bond. Sean Connery is my favorite. Roger Moore held the part until he was too old and fat. Timothy Dalton and Remington Steele are pretenders.

halle barry's is a great actress...except that just in this bonb flick she didn't have to really be that great...look @ all the actors in this movie...it's like a comic book man...

btw...i liked the movie...a great mindless run and gun movie...finally a movie w/ awesome cars w/ missiles and rockets and gunz....and two cars w/ gunz gutting it out
