Fortunately Kazaa has been destroyed by RIAA while everyone had their eyes on 99 cent music downloads.

Jeez, it's not that complicated. If you want something, it's wrong to steal it, you must buy it. You may as well walk into the grocery store, rip open a bag of hot dog buns and walk out with 1 bun, because you only wanted the 1 bun, not 8.

Maybe but the fact is that there is molding sh!t on the other 7 buns.

You still go to jail because stealing is wrong.

Stealing is another topic flamer.

The point is that this action shows the RIAA's true colors

That they want to make money? *gasp*
The point is, people want to get something for nothing, even if they have to steal.

I got rid of Kazaa lite because I wanted to download music the legal way. I don't mind paying the 99 cents for a song and $9.99 for a full album. Seems fair to me, but if the record companies increase the price of a track from 99 cent to $1.99 then I'm switching back to Kazaa lite. So hopefully the music industry comes to their senses and supports the online music stores.

Do you guys feel the same way?

I feel the exact same way.

So is extortion (IE, gross overcharge).

I'm glad the CDs i buy are almost always less than $10 each ...

The other week I bought 55 cds for a grand total of $200., All legit. Also, all death/black metal.

No amount of death/black metal is worth $200.

Thats because they are all priceless masterpieces :)
If all CDs costed 200+ dollars each ... I would still buy one every once in a while.

Only for items that you can't live without, like food or water. You can go without a song if you don't want to pay for it.

I buy lots of songs of iTunes but if they want to raise the price, I just won't buy the songs at all. Well, one exception is that if they raise the price, they better increase the bit rate to 192kbs at least. I may buy them but not as often. They can't handle the fact that people only want two songs off an album and not the 10 filler tracks.

The RIAA didn't destroy Kazaa, but fewer people use it in fear that one day they might be sued. I'll go back to Kazaa lite if my online music store increases the price of their mp3's.

you also have to remember that out of the $1, the music industry gets like 95 cents.:disgust:

I  it as well.

why do you pay for it if its still illegal, you might as well download it thru IRC

cuz its semi legal and also they have all it organized ;)

Bingo. Oh, and I've yet to see definitive proof that it's illegal. Not to say that it isn't but I've seen no proof that it is illegal. Even if it was I'd still use it. Beats the hell out of sifting through the crap on Kazaa.

1.99 x 10 = 20 dollars for a 10 track CD?
1.99 x 18 = 32 dollars for an 18 track CD?

Something DOESN'T MAKE SENSE IN THERE.

Nothing but pure, unadulterated GREED.
