I just went to staples this morning and bought a helogen lamp for $0.80. The price is $9.98 and suppose to have a $10 mail-in-rebate. The cashier couldn't find the rebate form and gave me an instant $10 discount. The lamp looks great!

Staples also has 17" PIXIE monitor for $99.98 after $50 rebate.

I think that would probably qualify as a brag, since unless the stars line up perfectly we probably won't see the same deal, without waiting for the MIR. But, not a bad deal on the monitor, I guess. Hadn't been in the market for a monitor in awhile, though.

It's still a free halogen lamp deal.

I tried to find it from staples.com last night (add up the amount for free shipping) but couldn't find it. Any SKU# of it?

This is a great find..

Everyone will get the deal.... JUST MAIL IN THE D*@&N rebate!

I'd say its better than a stupid Duck pillow that everyone got so excited about. :p

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the comments that this deal will be nearly impossible to get. The product isn't on staples.com, which means it isn't available at all stores. Not only that, finding a cashier who will get frustrated and just give you $10 (or even $1) at staples is nearly impossible.

So, yeah, you got a great deal, but it's unlikely anyone else can. At least tell us what city you are in.

Actually, this could be a case like Office depot in my area where they did not get their shipping of rebate forms yet.. and they already had the rebate offer on their ad. I'll try this tomorrow at my local staples. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

C'mon kids....

Now just because ONE of staples nimrod sales clerks could not locate a rebate form in THAT store... does not mean there is NO rebate.

Great deal.

MontyBurns:

The rebate of the halogen lamp is at the staplesrebates.com, not difficult to find it from the category "lighting".

Staples.com doesn't carry all the items of B&M store, e.g. last week PNY 128MB SDRAM has 40.00 rebate. I could find it at B&M store but not staples.com (a flaming deal if you could pricematch it with buy.com + coupon, i.e. $69.99 (add something to $75)-$40.00-$25.00 coupon = $10)
The B&M store refused to pm since the model no. on the box is a bit different, though I'm sure they're the same.

Besides, even staples.com said it is out of stock in your area, there is still a big chance you could find it at B&M.

Got the lamp from Staples B&M, they could find the rebate form so it's an instant rebate. Paid only 1 penny.

Got the same lamp $9.33 again, a 30" x 60" folding table $30 ($10 MIR) and $0.78 pen, applied $10 off $40 in-store coupon. They couldn't find the rebate form for the table again, so finally $11 for a folding table.

OD will put you on the list and mail rebate form to your house later. As far as I know they never substitute with the instant rebate
