0-60 Time?

My Dad has a supercharged 2001 Limited Edition PT Cruiser with 330BHP. I havn't had a chance to drive it yet, he got the supercharger free with installation because a magazine put an ad for a person willing to have their PT Cruiser modified (This was when PT Cruisers were hard to find). It took them forever to get it working, they fried the CPU chip twice. It was one of the first PT Cruisers to have a supercharger. I was wondering if anyone could make a good guess on the 0-60 time? The specs are HERE. Thanks.

P.S. Yeah I know it's one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen, but I'm not complaining with 330BHP and BBS rims :)

P.P.S.S. A good guess on the 1\4 mile would be nice too :)

No pics, my dad has it away in storage in the winter. My parents just recently got a divorce, so he will have to sell it unless he can pay my mom half of what it's worth :(

A supercharger on a 2.4 that only puts out 150hp stock? Funny, since when they did the same thing to the new Neon, it's barely topping 200 I think.
Don't expect that engine to last more than a month with 30+psi forced through it. :)

And yes, pics?

I'll be the first to guess, 5.8s.

I'm going to call BS on it. Sorry, I just find that hard to believe.

You just don't slap a supercharger onto that thing to get 2.5 times the power. At that level you're talking fuel system reworking, probably an intercooler of sorts, a new transmission that can actually handle that much power, and a whole slew of other engine upgrades to handle that much power.

I won't even go into the torque steer problem of trying to much that much power to the ground using the front wheels.

Hahahaha, you wouldn't get that kind of power from upgrading every single piece of the engine as well. To hit that you would need at least:

intake
exhaust
cams
chip
bored & stroked
port & polish
huge supercharger or at least one turbo
headers

No, it's just not possible.

LOL, that reminds me of the scene in airheads when they meet the fake record exec who is really a cop. "Who would win in a fight, Lemmy or God?" "uhhh... God" "Wrong, trick question, Lemmy is God"(BTW, i have seen Lemmy in concert!)

anyways, 330hp seems way high. I have seen the 2.4L upwards of 275-290hp, but that was extreme, and they were running high 10's, low 11's. This was in a Neon, BTW. The 2.4L and the 2.0L are somewhat interchangable.

the little bastard said in another thread the USA is an ignorant bully that is oppressing the whole country. Not only that, but he said we are taking away the small countries "only way to protest" by smothering terrorism. :|

Hey, don't come flaming me, that's what the garage told my dad it had. I know for sure it has a new exhaust system, but that would only produce 5-7HP. As soon as my dad brings it out of storage you'll have your pics.

[EDIT: I just called him up and he told me the magazine couldn't get thier own PT Cruiser, so they put in an ad for someone who wanted thiers modified, they ended up doing more than just a supercharger and exhaust, because they wanted to see how far they could take it. It has a cool little light mounted on the steering wheel with a disclaimer that says something along the lines of "If light is active, reduce RPMs immediately or face engine damage." :D]
