0.5hp deluxe piranha under your sink is never to be underestimated

It's lovely Saturday afternoon and I had to do dishes, then throw away some remaining lettuce that decided to spoil inside the 'frigerator. I turn the water on, then fire up the In-Sink-Erator. When I tried to put the sink sprayer away I accidentally knocked a glass bottle of some spice into the sink. It fell right into the In-Sink-Erator. It took about a second or two from the time I realized it fell in there until disposer was shut off. Everything was reduced to bits. I better be careful with the deluxe piranha with 0.5hp at his mouth that will eat anything you feed at.

Very nice! I have had my disposal unintentionally eat a few things. The worst one was a spoon. Obviously, it didn't eat the metal, but it did tear up the edges of said spoon, all the while making some of the most horrific noises I've ever heard. I can picture your face though:

*bottle slides off counter, falls squarely into hole* (your face in slow motion) "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" "OMG.....NO!!!!AIEEEEEEEE!" *crunchcrunchcrunch....disposal burps*

we have these two strainers.. on both sinks.. and after washing the dishes.. what ever the strainer catches it goes into the disposer potion of it and then we run it with the strainer back on top.

reason we did that.. someone forgot a spoon and boy what a racket that was.

Odd, doesn't your disposal have that flange type thing that you have to push things through?
With ours I have to push the stuff past it to get it in the garbage disposal.
