Wel, I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in Milwaukee, WI, many of our Sentry grocery stores turned into Rainbow Foods stores. THey almost always have some sort of soda on sale for like $3.98 for a 24 pack. Usually every other week. This comesout to the same $0.17 per can and you can just get a couple at a time and not need to store 15 12 packs somewhere. :)

So long as they're not like the cheap Eckerd soda I tried; virtually uncarbonated right out of the can- there are differences between the name brand soda and the generic brand soda..

Actually, I dont really see the huge value in this deal except for perhaps not having to lug the pop up stairs (if you need to). My local kroger has 24 packs of pepsi on sale nearly every week for $4/case, same price as these 12 packs for $1.99.

deal becomes very nice for us here in MI.
when we can return all the cans for $0.10 each.

$2.99x17=$50.83-$15/50(coupon)=$35.83-$20.40(deposits)=$15.43 for 17 12 packs delivered to my door the next day.

this deal became cold when they started charging some people outrageous amounts
for shipping, but now its free shipping again, atleast for me.
This deal started quite a long time ago, and I would like to thank the person who
first posted this deal.

Hrm... I *suppose* $0.17/ can is a good deal. But here in Memphis, it's 99 cents for a six-pack (of *anything*).

The other plus to this deal is that you don't have to mess with the deposits, like you would if you bought it in a regular store- It's always a hassle dealing with that-

thats an ok deal, at my local supermarket this week tey have 24packs for 3.99, so that is about 9 24packs for the 35$ so it turns out to be about only 16cents per can. and dont have to wait for shipping

The "Value" of this deal is that if you live near any major university and live in michigan you save alot of money! They charge $4.00 a 12 pack PLUS the deposit of $1.20 - so at less than a $1.00 a 12 pack we're saving over $3.00 (we pay tax at 6% too in the store). Some of the states that don't care about recycling may not see this as a deal because you are already paying less, Michigan on the other hand is not one of those.

Thanks for the heads up on the deal!

From OD's site

Refreshing any time of the day, Pepsi® soft drinks can be delivered directly to your office. Prices do not include state or local deposit fees (where applicable). Subject to availability.

Are they charging the deposit over and above the $2.99 price??

i dont think they charge deposit cause i paid with my cc and they gave me a total already they cant change that around
if there was need to add deposit they would have done it before your grand total

I'm not sure I understand. What does one's proximity to a university impact this deal ?
It appears to me that it is open to all, regardless of accomodations .....

whenever there is a soda post, I have to tell everyone, these are not cases. Cases are synonymous with 24 packs. There are 24 cans in a case.

I am willing to bet that at 99% of drive throughs throughout the US, asking for a case of some beverage will result in the attendant giving you 24.

Please make a note of it

<<my local supermarket sells 24 packs for $3/$4>>

ok enuf b*tc*ing! everybody knows that most of your local stores limit 4 packs. how about the $15 off :p

<<no waiting for the shipment>>

its better than driving to the store and then dragging all those 24packs back to your GEO Metro

Ive done this deal many times, (in MI) they have never charged me a deposit fee,
and the cans are returnables. (except for the liptons, i ordered these once and
got cans that were not returnables)

I don't think Iced Tea / Lemonade / fruit type drinks are ever returnable. It seems to only be carbonated beverages and beer... I have no idea why.
