<< Yet another attempt by the Liberals to protect us from ourselves. This time it has the added bonus increasing taxes and they LOVE that to.......bet they are all sitting in a Starbucks congratulating themselves over how smart they are and how they know what is best for all of us. >>

No, yet another example how the working class has to pay for the rich. They need the money becasue of the unexpected buget shortfall due to the failed de-regulation of energy monopolies who are ripping Ca a new one. Electricity prices have tripled and these guys are smiling all the way to the bank. Meanwhile soda joe has to pick up the tab.

Bullsh!t and you know it. You REALLY need to stop denying reality, Carbon.

<<WASHINGTON - Health advocates at the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) and Yale University recommended in a paper in the June issue of the American Journal of Public Health that soft drinks and snack foods be taxed to provide funding for nutrition and health campaigns.>>

That's what a third party recommends we shall see how the money is allocated in Cali. Remember the tobacco money only supposed to be for schools and smoker education?

Yep, and I remember who pushed it. Folks like you. Now it goes towards every other socialist program, and the poor pay for it. The contradictions in the left are amazing. You guys have never seen a tax you didn't like. I can't understand it.

Heard on the news that there thinking of adding or rasing (if there is a tax on soda) .02 cents

And it will bring in about $300,000,000 for Cali because of the budget shortfall

Also to promote healty foods 🙂

This is even more stupid than the ban on smoking in bars and restaurants. A few people need to move out of California(the ones I like) and the rest needs to sink in the ocean before their stupidity can spread.

Taxes on soda...

:| :| :|

Not only is that a case of big brother telling us what we should and shouldn't do, it's also not good for the economy when the government tries to raise the market price of goods. :disgust:

CITRUS HIT in a 2 liter is the best... then MOUNTAIN DEW in a can... then MOUNTAIN DEW in a 2 liter... then BARGS in a can... then PEPSI in a can... then BARGS in a 2 liter... then COKE in a can... then COKE in a 2 liter... then PEPSI in a 2 liter...

everything else pretty much sucks...
unless you want to move onto kool-aid...
in that case... tropical punch mixed with pink swimingo is the best.
