Alarm bells ringing yet? Purportedly these are Federal Prison Guards from Texas—so is DC a prison now? And why no names/badge numbers? How are we supposed to tell that they are Federal officers vs. Erik Prince’s private army?

I think this is being made out to something it is not.
I suspect these guys are from other branches like DEA or Homeland Security and the gear they are wearing came out of some warehouse somewhere. Not really weird for a guy in riot gear to not want to have a political talk with some random on the street.
Maybe I’m wrong and I’ll gladly admit it if so.

They would be clearly identified as such if so. This is incredibly sketchy.

I agree they are almost certainly with the DOJ, but it should not be acceptable for the federal government to employ what amount to police forces that have no identifying markers. If one of these people cracks your head open there is no way to hold anyone or any agency responsible, which is of course the point.
 
And they are masked with no ability to really identify who they are? Seems like such a good idea and nothing to really worry about.

From what I've read, they seem to at least mostly be BOP. Which is a long way from great, even if it isn't quite as horrifying as it would be if they were Prince's mercs. (ETA: Although it's probably good for Trump to grow accustomed to being guarded by prison guards!) It's completely unacceptable though that they aren't readily identifiable/refusing to identify themselves.

That is also why retired generals have started speaking out! Because they know trump wants to use the US Military against regular citizens!

My bet is Trump called in these mercenaries because he cant get the Army.

Its totally unacceptable to have unidentified soldiers patrolling the streets in these situations, absolutely appalling,

The US military needs to step in and protect its citizens from these thugs.
