Yeah saw that mentioned on another forum earlier this morning. Nice find though. Its a good kit. They should be micron d9's still. However ive seen some odd results posted lately on them so its hard to say.

P.S. I dont know if the mods will allow you to post that coupon/promo code. :p They may remove it for you just heads up.

Nice. I hope it "still" is Micron D9s!

And the code is available to the public, so there shouldn't be any problem with that.

Wow, nice price. I just paid $169.00 for the same set to match a set I bought last year for $240.00 :(
Looks like it's time to call the Egg for an adjustment :)
And just an FYI, they are very good about doing that if it's within a few weeks of a purchase. I bought my current videocad and a week later it was $30.00 cheaper. By the time I called them the order was two weeks old but they still credited me $25.00!
Can't beat that service, let's hope my luck holds <crosses fingers>

I got an e-mail from G.Skill tech support after inquiring as to whether a cheaper set had the Microns & if not, which set did. He e-mailed me back within a few hours & advised me that this set had the Micron chips.
I figured if the Crucials didn't get back in stock before the rebate ended, i'd get these or the Wintecs from the 'egg since i've heard the Wintecs have Micron chips as well.

Gskill is one of the top companies that is for sure. I usually stick with Gskill or OCZ.

Its one of the top "unknown(?)" companies, I'd say.

I have never gotten the newegg newsletter, despite signing up for it some odd hundred amounts of times (back when they did the weekly contest).

When I try using the promo code, it says I cant because I dont get the newsletter. YES I DO! I just signed up for it AGAIN, and got a second confirmation email. WTF newegg!

Just got my set yesterday to replace my OCZ Plat Rev 2 (DDR 800), which couldn't seem to run at anything over DDR 850. I primed with the G Skill at DDR 960 @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.2V last nite. I'm currently priming at DDR 1000 @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.2V

Now $115 shipped (at least to Arkansas)!

I FINALLY had to bite. I want 4GB (or whatever 32-bit Vista will give me...) and the most important thing is to get matching sticks now

Too bad I paid $260ish for a pair back in Feb!

I'm in for the deal too.
Crucial is nice, but i'm on a budget & don't like dealing w/rebates.
I'm sure this will perform as well as the Crucial DDR2 800 deal that I didn't get in on time @ Buy.com.

Haha I paid the lowest possible price unless there was a secret price drop in the thirty minutes after I ordered!
