µTorrent

I was going to say Utorrent was great 10 years ago, then I realized this thread was over 10 years old😕

Not that I use torrents much anymore but if you do qbittorrent is clearly the best.

qBittorrent is just a knockoff of uTorrent 2.2, with (oddly) fewer UI features. Tried it for a while and liked that it had a very familiar interface, but could never get over how someone either cloned (or took up development of) uTorrent and years later it wasn't even up to par with the old one.

I still use uTorrent 2.2.1. Also tried uTorrent 3, but it's garbage.

I actually still stand behind uTorrent v2.2.1 - before they went all adware or whatever with their stupid new GUI. Straight forward and works perfectly.
 
I use Rutorrent myself. It's web based. I have a dedicated VM I spin up as needed for when I want to torrent. I'll seed for a little while after than turn it off.
