My humble apologies!!!
I'm very new to this forum and the print media. This would be my first printer in life. I had definitely seen the specs. But I had no idea whether Dell is offering the same software as Staples had mentioned on their site. And I'm not sure whether the software listed herein (staples site) is included as default with the printer.

Items in box include: Printer Software ArcSoft PhotoImpression 2000, ArcSoft PhotoMontage 2000, EPSON Software Film Factory

It's not that I'm not willing to research but consider this as my first learning phase.

I wonder if this is refurbished. there's no image and they have another 880 w/image for $129. I ordered one anyway. Second day shipping came up free. i guess next day is free too.

anyone getting "Delayed" on the order status page? when i goto the product page for the epson 880 printer, it says in stock...

noellenchris: thanks for the heads up about the free shipping. well, if they do charge me for the shipping (which they should not), ill just email them a copy of my receipt:

Hmmmm, so many good printer deals going around these days...I can't decide between this one and the $87ish Epson 875DC from Office Max. I know this one's much cheaper, but I don't mind spending more if the 875DC is worth it. I'll be printing mostly digital pics so I'm leaning toward the 875DC...what do you guys think?

I got in on a $25 Epson 740 deal over a year ago and it was a refurb....

Is this one better than that....

I dont really need one as I have the 740 and an HPLJ5L, but for this price????

woohoo...jumped on another deal. That makes 3 in the last month...CF, GW6400, Printer...

my wallet is hurting now

on a somewhat tangent, USB-newbie topic...what is the difference between USB A and USB B cables? I'd assume the computer side of the connection is male, but is it A or B?

and I took the plunge....

I coudnt get through to Dell, and I re-read their Epson 880 page 5 times looking for something that might indicate refurbished...

Didnt find anything....so...I would think it is new, and if its not, Dell will be giving me a $30 credit to my card or taking it back.....their choice....

Saw in a few other posts where you can get a couple of USB cables from Costco or Sam's for under $7.00. Haven't been to Costco myself - got the ones from Sam's for $6.98 + upcharge, tax. Nice looking 6 footers.

I was going to post that the printer is showing as &quot;delayed&quot; on my order status and will ship on or before 7/2/01....

I do have my order# though, so I hope I am ok.....

these printers (epson) always say no cable, but aways come with one, so hold till you get the printer to check.

Yep: i learned a few weeks ago, if you are thinkin about getting a deal, buy it right away, you can always cancel or return if you change your mind. But if you wait, the deal will end. I learned that the hard way :) .
