Not really hot, since Supermediastore.com has 4x Prodisc DVD-R inkjet printables for about $38/100 plus 10% off. I've been using the Prodisc (certified by Pioneer labs) and have not had a single problem with them.

Slightly off-topic, I bought some Ridata 4x DVD-RW and they were not recognized by a Pioneer 105 drive. I was able to return them to Amazon.

Off-topic again...I just hit 1000 posts!!!! 😛

Not HOT at all! Shop4tech.com has Sonic dvd-r 4x 100 pack spindles for $25!!! The sonic dvd's there also have a clean white label. Hmmm.... curious. :disgust:

Sonic DVD-R.... ANY GOOD??

Are prodisc better than Ritek. I have a new batch of Ritek G05, and they suck arse. But it's only been this new batch. My old G05 have been able to burn at 12X no prob with my pioneer dvr-108. Anyone know if Prodisc has better compat. with pioneer?

I got 4x and 8x Prodisc last week, they are made by MCC (mitsubishi chemical), I always have good burn with MCC (Lite-on 812s and BTC 4x). Don't know about pioneer.

Haha! You posted a NOT deal! I bought 50pk GQ 4xdvd-r printable for 24.50 two weeks ago. Keep trying. Maybe you should try oil futures. 😛😎

THe ones at fry's suck....GQ (Great Quality) media sucks!!!

shop4tech.com has awesome prices!
rima.com has great pricing for media w/printable surfaces.

the newer riteks suck. Sonic and Prodisc are getting a good rep as reliable media nowadays.

with the sonics you can get discs from several different manufacturers. it's a crap shot. lol.

NO sonics are not GOOD, well the DVD+R at least. They suck, the quality of the blanks are very bad. I often found bubbles or spots on the blanks, making it impossible to burn!!! WARNING TO ALL DO NOT BUY SONIC DVD+R

i've got 1 or 2 bad out of a 100
not too shabby. hey it cheapsyougetwhat you pay for. bont kocmplain k? thanks.
1. get a better burner
2. update to latest firmware.

I had initially purchased the Sonics and found them to be unreliable. The white label is not inkjet compatible. I tried the Prodisc and have not had one problem with them. And the inkjet printable surface works great on my Epson R200. I still use a Pioneer DVR 106.
