It was a _very_ close tie between the 360 and the ipod touch for a long time, and then a charity bug hit me.
For about 3 second I considered spending a good half of it on Childs Play.
Then I remembered that I'm poor, so I donated a few bucks and settled on the...

I'll keep it short. By bank FUBAR'd my "member rewards points" thingee, and long story short , I cashed out all my points to the tune of ~300$ in Amazon.com gift cards.
The problem?
I have no loving clue what it is I want. The choices are almost endless!
So I have come to you, oh wise...
I've been doing the same search and have exhaustively narrowed

I'd heard around the net (ars, inq, engadget) that these and they're larger bretheren where going to retail for ~$150 -> ~$200. A sub 200$ DX10 card is the only thing I need to replace my ancient skt 754 rig. (FX5900 Ultra, ugh...)
I've been surfing the 'egg for a few weeks now looking for the perfect LCD monitor, and this one by LG appeared today for $389.00. HOWEVER, they're missing 2 key specs. Pixel Pitch and Viewing Angle. Does anyone have this monitor or know any more about it? Even a google search only turned up...

Oh yes. MUCH less battery life.
I noticed this under Vista in the Beta, but it has only gotten marginally better under RC2. I have a compaq v5000z with a 12 cell battery (~5 hours under XP) that gets about half that under Vista with everything pretty on the most portable of battery...

Here's a link to the original article on the BBC.
Thought this was funny too, a rundown of articles on the BBC this year in order. Kind of tells the whole story really. Whats that about one company dictating the market? Intel What? monopoly...

I drive a truck because I have too, (V6 thankfully), and spend ~ $40 every 4 to 5 days. Luckly, gas is only around 2.09 here (Go south Texas!)...but having the AC on all the time kinda counteracts that. Damn am I glad I don't live in California!
The turbo button on the front of my pentium pro! Seeing that 33 turn into a 66 was like going to Ludacris speed in spaceball one! (or not, depending on your point of view)
