Does anyone know whether the A7V8X runs using PC3500 or PC3700 ram? If it does, will there be any performance increase as compare to PC3200?

The cpu is running at default speed (1533) with the ram set as Auto. No overclocking on the vga too. The temp is around 42C to 43C.

I've changed a new 400W PSU and was able to power-up. But the system will turn-off by it-self after a while like 15 minutes. I'm not sure it's the OS problem or the m/board or bios that's causing this. I'm using Win XP SP1 and the bios level is 1015. Anyone has any similar problem with 1015???

I've been using the Asus A7V333 for more than 4 months now without any problem. Today, while using it, it suddenly turned-off by itself and now I can't power it up again. I've moved the Ram to Socket 3 and now the mb detected it as 256MB. Thanks for your advice. Just wondering will there be any issues or problem placing the ram in socket 3 (leaving 1 and 2 empty)?

Thanks, at least now I know that the CPU settings is correct. I don't have another board to test the RAM. Will it work if I put the RAM on Socket 2 or Socket 3? I'm using Socket 1 now. Just curious, does the m/b auto-detect whether it's a 266MHz or 333MHz Ram or I need to set it up on the bios?
