I'm running the retail "standard" edition of PowerDVD, which supports up to 8 speakers IIRC. In regards to DVD Genie, I have it on my system so I'll try fiddling around with it. But I doubt it will help fix the problem.

I hooked up an old set of Cambridge Soundworks Fourpoint Surround speakers to the audio jacks on my Asus A7NX8 Deluxe mobo. The surround sound in Doom 3 works pretty well with the speakers. However, I can't get sound from the rear speakers when watching dvds with PowerDVD ver. 5. No matter what...

It looks like Provantage is honoring this deal afterall. I got the following e-mail today from them... This is hard to believe, but it they are going to honor the orders placed at the $339.67 price, then I'm cancelling my other orders for the card.

Just curious, but has anyone's EBgames.com preorder shipped? Mine hasn't and I sorta wish that I had selected in-store pick-up when I placed the order.

Well I chatted with a FuturePowerPC.com CSR thru their website live chat. The rep told me my credit card was charged because they were processing my order so it would ship as soon they get stock of the PNY 6800 GTs. Sounds like BS excuse to me. In any case, I'll leave my order alone for now...

My account reflects a charge, unless my card company (Citibank) did something funky on their end. Normally I don't see any holds / authorizations on my CC account.

Has anyone else that ordered a 6800 GT from FuturePowerPC.com noticed a charge for it on the credit card? I checked my credit card balance online last night and there's a charge for my order even though they haven't shipped it. :P

Well considering the shipping estimate on my order is 9/23, I'm not holding my breath. :(
