Thanks Austin.
I think you are right that it is the monitor driver. I have not dug to deep into it yet. I now am successfully using UltraMon. And I am like it. My second monitor will only allow a resolution of 1024 x 768. So that does seem to explain the problem.
I am having minor issues too.
I was messing around with configs Windows duel view vs. Nviews. In the end I installed the lattest drivers from Nvidia. Now I can't get as high of a resolution in span mode as I could have before. It could be a driver thing solved by going back to the other...

Might have your answer.
Some games will span both monitors or you can clone with them. I have a 19" and 15". So it does not work well for me. Also if you have it clone and the game is set at...
ok It has been awhile since I have turned around my fan so it blows into the heatsink. However, now when my fan blows at full speed my CPU temp amd case temp read the same. I have an MSI KT3 Ultra board. My guess is that the case sensor is located around the area of the CPU. I also know that...
This is great getting all this help. Still I left out some info. I will not need to purchase speakers because I want the computer audio output routed to the receiver. I am just building the box or rather the pyramid. My design concept is a pyramid of plexy glass. So a full size video card...
I guess I should mention I plan on building my own case for this. This is the whole reason I choose to take up a project because I had fun building my computer.
I would run it linux because the person I would make it for (my bro) wants linux if it is built. He is pro Microsoft and only...
Howdy,
I might have the option of building a PC media center.
Stuff for the thing to do:
-Play MP3
-Play Movies: DVD/DivX
-Record TV like a VCR
Requirments:
-MicroATX MB with audio/video/lan
-cheep
-stable
-High Quality TV output
-5.1 audio
-digital out
-spare ports for some sort of LCD...
I choose MSI because that is actually what I choose. I considered both for my comp but MSI won because it was cheeper I knew it had Digital out and at the time I was researching I was seeing some people posting problems about their Asus.
My friend is building a computer and he has the Asus...
Despite the title of this post it has nothing to do with twisted cables. It has to do with understanding what different cables there are because I am confused.
First, I will be building a computer and the components (that are important to this topic) are:
-MSI KT3 ULTRA-ARU support up to...
I was wondering if a painting case's insides will affect the cooling of the case? Particarly Lian-Li case like the PC-60. What about painting the PSU?
Will a pinted fan be louder?
Wiscow
What Fan should I use on my Heatsink? I don't want to use delta because I hear they are loud! I want to have it be three pin so my mobo can read rpm.
I proable will not overclock very heavly.
I will beplaying games and running intensive programs.
HSF: After taking a look at price differences of the SK6 vs. the AX7 I have change my mind. The AX7 has three clips and supprt for an 80mm fan.
PSU: A 400w is twice the cost of a 300w is it worth it? I decided antec brand because another topic raves about it being less noisy then Enermax...
Howdy! I have finished my research and selected all the parts I want for my computer. This will be the first computer I will build. I feel I do have good quality parts. But please look over my selection and let me know of any problems and/or issues.
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1800 (OEM)
Heatsink...
