Hi everyone. I'd like to upgrade my current system which has an LGA 1156 motherboard and i5-750. I was wondering, now that the CPUs are pretty cheap, if it's better to upgrade to an i7-870 (2.93 GHz), X3470 (2.93 GHz), or try to overclock the i5-750 (2.66 GHz) for gaming? I plan to get a GTX1060...

Okay, I guess I'll go with the LE-1640. For the moment, I only need 720p. It seems the trend is toward more DXVA support in HTPC software... so if 1080p is needed, there's at least more chance that I'll not have to upgrade the CPU. :) Thanks.

Does anyone know how well an LE-1640 (2.6 GHz) would fare by itself? I can't find any reviews on this CPU. I was about to head out to pick one up with the Gigabyte board before I thought to check here.

I have a computer (Abit BP6) that I upgraded yesterday with a new sound card and second Celeron. It's working fine except for one problem: when booting from cold, it always takes two tries to get it to POST. When I switch it on, the power is on and the fans are running, but there's no video...

I picked up one of the PNY 6800's at CompUSA and installed it today. I have a Samsung 950p analog CRT monitor and haven't noticed any screen bluriness or any other abnormal behavior. :o Edit: it's also an old revision with black molex

Are they dual channel capable? Just got my 400SC and I'm anxious to put some quality PC3200 RAM into it. I had no idea the RAM is still so expensive. :(

Picked up this deal. It rung up as 54.99! And the rebate printed at the register. Instead of a spindle, it came in a box with 2 25-pack spindles.
