Most 1.0 Ghz bird will hit @ least 1.2Ghz. Yours...depends on steppings could probably yield more. 200 Mhz it may seems...but running it @ 9.0 X 133 FSB actually yield much better performance. More if run @ 7.0 X 166 FSB.

If the prob happen after u've crank up the FSB or multiplier in the bios. Save. Then restart & no post....just clear the CMOS. The O/cing is too aggressive.

A Pally XP1600+, A7V333 & SK-6. Previously running a XP1900+, take it out to test a XP1600+. Put in the combo, power up & it got shut down in 2 seconds. Check thru the HSF fan cable in the right header...power up again & same probs. Clear the CMOS, power up...smell something burnt. Power off...

The wire trick is for those unlock T-bred...tht fitted on mobo tht can't provide a 5 bit reading on the CPU.
