I found if you go into the bios and disable all the extra's such as onboard sound,lan,usb, etc. and whatever your mobo has, 98 will install ok, the go back and enable each one and get it set up and then the next.... 98 does not have drivers for all the new stuff and if its enabled(extras) on...

I have one and its stable but i think most people like the MSI Ultra better. I had a Leadtek 735 that was much faster than this Asus. The leadtek memory bandwidth was right on par with other mobo's of its class. I went backards with this Asus.........

Check out the MSI 745, i think it has Firewire. I have the A7S333 and it doesn't have nutin.....

I have my A7S up and running and install was smooth as silk. I like it so far but i dont have anything tweaked yet. i have my memory set to cas2 but dont know about the other memory settings. What i should try. Anyone have a idea? .........

Im suppose to get my A7S tomorrow. I think its going to be pretty plain but can tell you more when i get it. I had a Leadtek 735 and it preformed much better than the reviews posted. The things you dont see in reviews are like USB worked about 5 times better than VIA and multiple divices dont...

The KT333 chipset boards are starting to appear. If i waited two years i think i would wait just a tad longer as they are suppose to have a better south bridge. I may stand corrected but i think that the way it is........

It also has UDMA133/100/66 support.........

I was thinking of buying a KG7 some time back and asked the same question. A peep replied, his reply was the 760 doesn't have the same buss arcitecture between north and south bridge that a full VIA solution has. So therefore you do not have the 686 bug. I don't know if thats right ro not...

The Kingmax DDR2700 i bought does have -5ns modules on it.....

The only bug that i have read about SIS735 so far is the inability to run FSB and Memory at different speeds i.e. 133/166. For me that is not a problem. The other problems that i read about are the mobo. Two different sites have made the comment that Abit KS7 is going to be a "eye opener"...

It does support 166mhz with 33mhz pci and higher. Also AMDzone has a stick of DDR333 to do the review with. What little i have seen posted kt266a has a higher memory bandwidth, but just can barely nudge it out in benchmarks. Several peeps over at AMDzone have already ordered one. i am just...
